Performance Projects 07/08 for young people aged 11 - 17

Spring Term starts Sat 19th Jan 2.30 - 5.00pm
(Please note this is changed from the start date originally advertised)

Following a very successful end of term performance and positive feedback from our students we will continue to create choreographies based on Indian and Street Dance styles in the spring term.

This spring / summer our youth performance group will also have the opportunity to work with an aspiring choreographer and perform in the Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre during the National Youth Dance Festival in July. (Part of the New Directions programme in partnership with Youth Dance England). Dates for this project are still being confirmed, but if you are 11 - 17 and would like to join please contact us using the details below.

What the parents said about Autumn 2007:
I thought the performances were brilliant. It’s so good to see children given the opportunity to express their creativity through dance and movement.

She has enjoyed working with her new teachers, making new friends, and has clearly developed her technique and diversified her dance steps and routines.

Over the past year my son has looked forward to his dance session every week, through learning some established moves he has gained a body awareness and control that has enabled him to create his own moves and feels confident dancing in public.

Projects cost £5 for the whole term. Funded by Jack Petchey Foundation.
