AlKamie uses front projection over an entire white stage space to immerse live performers in the virtual space of computer models. These virtual worlds are moved and morphed in real-time to twist the seeming reality onstage into sublime visual metaphors. In an age where our essential physical existence is increasingly imposed upon by the virtual, al’Ka-mie playfully empties the complexities of contemporary life into their dream-like cinematic theatre. 

AlKamie’s Virtual Reality Theatre coalesces the alive tangibility of real performers with 3D animation technology to create an hallucinogenic theatre through which onstage characters and audiences tumble alike.

Tempered Body Dance

Tempered Body Dance is currently the resident company at Chisenhale Dance Space. This company shares our office and is supported in-kind by CDS.

Tempered Body Dance Company is a London-based dance collective founded by emerging choreographer Maddy Wynne-Jones in 2007. The company is a multi-national nexus of performers drawn from the full breadth of the dance spectrum, collaborating with established artists from extra-dance disciplines. The artists in the company aim to harness the creative energy generated by the fusion of diverse individual constituents and channel it toward original, thought-provoking and emotively powerful performance pieces.
