About Antonio de la Fe
I am a Spanish dance artist based in London. I first approached dance through ballet in my home town: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Afterwards I encountered contemporary dance, training amongst other schools at the "Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza," Madrid, from 2002-2006. Then I moved to the London Contemporary Dance School where I danced in EDge '08 and completed an MA in Performance in 2010.
I am very interested in improvisation in performance and have studied with Julyen Hamilton, DD Dorvillier and Camille C. Hanson.
As a performer I have danced for choreographers such as Eva Recacha (UK/Spain), Carla Onni (UK/Italy), Annie Lok (UK), Melita Spahic (UK/Croatia) and Riccardo Buscarini (UK/Italy).
I also create my own dance work and I have presented my pieces in the UK, Spain and Italy. My latest work, Cameo, in collaboration with Riccardo Buscarini and Mariana Camiloti, was one of the 4 finalists of The Place Prize. Last summer I took part of Choreodrome, a residency where I started the research process for a new work with the working title 1000.
