Commisioned to work with Secret Cinema in 2011.

The company is based in East London, and artistically based at Chisenhale Dance Space.   In our work, generic dance disciplines are broken down and I directly engage with performativity, authenticity, originality and politics.

Our previous dance work used a live rock and roll band. The detailed dance/theatre, acclaimed by dance critics, includes athletic, physical contact work, risky lifts, technical accuracy, graceful movement and comedic asides.  Our work has been strongly driven by intelligent narratives and has involved large casts, live rock and roll bands and established whimsical rock n roll ideologies performed by young libertines in love. The company strives to document the zeitgeist.  The genesis of our work reflects the exuberant and accessible character of the company’s output.

The company focus is to make subversive, challenging, dance performance, no bullshit, very real, raw and cutting, a daring performance, provoking a reaction in those that watch.
