BalletWorks is a charity event of high cultural calibre. With its diverse repertoire and international cast, the project seeks to bring the most exciting European developments to local theaters. We want to show that BalletWorks.

Over the past two seasons we have raised over £9000 for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on the Isle of Wight. We want to continue helping various worthy causes. It is important for us to venture to other venues across England. This way we can bring BalletWorks to new audiences, bringing in new repertoire each year.

This year’s BalletWorks features dancers from Stuttgart Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, Staatsballet Berlin and Ballet Augsburg. It also showcases commissions from great young choreographers, Louis Stiens and Richard Chappell.

The Earl Mountbatten Hospice is the only hospice on the Isle of Wight. It cares for patients suffering from or affected by lifeshortening illnesses and provides vital help and advice for their families, friends and carers. We would like to raise as much money as possible to help the Earl Mountbatten Hospice continue its outstanding work. We aim to use our skills and our art form to raise as much money as possible to help the Earl Mountbatten Hospice continue to use their skills and outstanding work to care for loved ones.

Robert Robinson was born on the Isle of Wight, England. At the age of six years he started his ballet training at the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance. In 2006 he went to the Elmhurst School of Dance before he came to the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart in 2008. There he graduated in 2011.

In the season 2011/12 he became an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet, one season later he was taken into the Corps de ballet. In 2013/14 he was promoted to Demi Soloist. In 2015/16 he became Soloist.

In 2014 he created BalletWorks raising money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
