Self Portrait Workshop led by Misha Horecek
The Self Portrait Workshop is for artists working in any discipline and for people from all walks of life.
This is an interdisciplinary approach designed to expand body self-awareness. By engaging with the art practices of drawing, moving, dancing, voicing, sculpting and writing, participants will explore Body Mythology – the stories, the rhythms, and the desires of the body. The course will begin with the study of various parts of the body in isolation, and will culminate with the creation of a life-size Self Portrait.
This process provides a safe container. It invites a healing process / transformation. The mined material may be used for performance research, or as part of an ongoing quest of self-discovery.
