Chisenhale Dance Space, London (CDS) and The Work Room, Glasgow (TWR) have an affinity which both organisations are keen to build on. Both organisations are membership based, with an artist-led ethos, and are committed to supporting experimentation in dance. We are keen to explore how we can work together to amplify our programmes of residencies, artist support and artist-led projects.
Following an open call to Members, taking part in the Artists Exchange will be Martyn Garside and Kirstin Halliday from The Work Room, and Janine Harrington and Will Dickie from Chisenhale Dance who will spend 6 days sharing their interests and methods in both London and Glasgow. There will also be opportunities for the wider membership of both organisations to meet the visiting artists.
Applications received across both organisations were reviewed by a panel involving Daniel Pitt and Salome Wagaine (Director and Artist Development Associate, CDS), Christopher Matthews (CDS Member), Kally Lloyd Jones (artist member, TWR) and Anita Clark (Director, TWR).
