Inspired by Tibetan buddhism and contemporary improv dance, to create a simple but strong container to work both artistically and creatively with the art of being, moving and relating. CPD practice consists of 3 stages. Sitting, Personal Awareness and Open space.
In Sitting, we sit in meditation and deepen into our inner space, noticing movements, sensation, pulse and breath.
In Personal Awareness, we explore ways of bringing meditative awareness into movement, listening to the voice of your body and mind, following impulses, moving with what is there. whether this is stretching, asana, micro-movements, dance, all is welcome.
In Open Space, we extend our awareness out to include the whole – space, others, as we move and respond in relation to the collective body and field.
This practice is gently facilitated, there is no right or wrong way to be, way to move, way to relate, the only intention of the practice is to listen to the voice of your body, and through that the collective body, being open to what arises in the present.
Some experience with meditation or movement is recommended, but all are welcome!
