Focus on: Allotment
This month sees the launch of a monthly series of posters highlighting the work that Chisenhale Dance Space does with artists and the local community. In July we are focusing on Allotment, a programme where members of Chisenhale Dance space’s artistic community propose activities that are then supported – in kind and sometimes with money – by our producer staff.
The projects featured in the posters are Agony Art, curating evenings of works by friends and like-minded artistsat Chisenhale Dance Space; OPENLAB, a model for professional self-development for performers developed and facilitated by Antonio de la Fe; CI for CDS, a contact Improvisation fundraiser organised by Colleen Bartley and Gale Burn; Visionhale, a mini festival of performance lectures curated by Flora Wellesely Wesley; and All the Things That We Can Do, a series of politics and choreography workshops by Hamish MacPherson.
Allotment events coming up in the near future include a Marten Spångberg workshop and performance (3-5 July) organised by Joe Moran and a week of performance, workshop and conversation with Julyen Hamilton and Billie Hanne (13-19 July) organised by Rob Vesty.

In 2015 the income we earn from space hire is paying for our building costs and staff to manage it, which means that all voluntary donations go towards artistic activity, supporting artists and the local community. You can make a one-off or regular donation on our website.
