gone to the dogs – Claudia Palazzo
Next Stages Bursary Artist: Claudia Palazzo
Between 2017 and 2018 Chisenhale Dance Space and The Marlborough Theatre are supporting the development of a full length solo work by CDS Artist Member Claudia Palazzo as part of CDS’ Next Stages project.
CDS and The Marly successfully partnered for the 2016 Small Spaces Commission Award. Palazzo’s stunning application to that programme caught the eye of the Marly’s David Sheppeard and together, CDS and the Marly have been working to enable Palazzo’s creation process.
Performance Space in Folkestone are also supporting the development of this work through a residency and mentorship.
About the work in development:
“gone to the dogs” is a dance about females, desire and violence in an urban environments.
I’m dancing because I don’t know how to talk about it. I wish to be more than a silhouette even though sports wear is having a revival.
