Maria’s joyful and physical classes are perfect for dancers who are ready to move on from Beginner level. These sessions draw on Maria’s rich dance experience including modern and release techniques and styles from Horton to African dance. The class begins by awakening the dancer’s body-awareness through alignment, presence and mindfulness. From here dancers are given the opportunity to develop their musicality, dynamics and physical strength as simple exercises develop into more challenging sequences. Maria creates a welcoming space for individual expression while encouraging the group to connect and move together.
