Holly Blakey is a twice UK MVA nominated choreographer and director.

Born in North Yorkshire and now based in London, much of Holly’s recent work has been for camera, working with directors and musicians internationally from India to Los Angeles for stage and screen whilst collaborating with visual artists globally.

Recent music video credits include the likes of Jessie Ware, Gwilym Gold, Lianna La Havas, Ellie Goulding, MØ and Jungle, whose Time video saw Holly nominated for Best Choreography In a Music Video and the Vevo Must See Award at last year’s UK MVAs. She has also choreographed campaigns for fashion powerhouses Gucci and Paul Smith and choreographed live performances for artist Hannah Perry at London’s Boiler Room and Serpentine Galleries.

This August Holly will have her first solo show at Hales Gallery, London. A piece for six dancers with live music scored by Gwilym Gold and Darkstar, Some Greater Class challenges perceptions of taste and class within infrastructures of the art scene.

Some Greater Class is funded by Arts Council England and the workshops are supported by Chisenhale Dance Space’s Allotment programme – nurturing projects where artists take the lead.Screen-Shot-2015-06-18-at-15.08.52-96x65 grant_jpeg_black-400x126
