Could you be a CDS Advocate?

Since 1980, Chisenhale Dance Space has been a home for some of the most radical artists in the UK, often long before their work has been recognised by the wider sector. Our very existence is thanks to artists of the X6 collective, a group of countercultural artists, activists and movers who created CDS as a place for radical and political dance experimentation. We’ve embraced our past legacy to power a new future for CDS and the artists of today. We are keen to develop and advocate for a more diverse, equitable and ethical dance sector but to do this, we need help.

If you like the sound of what we do, you can become an Advocate and support our Artist Community. You might be an artist who has benefited from CDS in the past and who wants to invest in us today; or someone who has never engaged with us before but who shares our ambitions.

We’re at the start of a new journey and it’s an exciting time to help us shape our advocacy programme as we begin to explore the power of collectivity. As an Advocate, your generosity and belief in artists, practitioners and organisers will directly empower and support those who can drive change in the cultural sector and beyond.
