We’re seeking new Trustees… JOIN US!

Chisenhale Dance Space (CDS) has been making space for artists to lead, experiment and create for over 40 years. We’re using this legacy to power a new future. CDS is a registered charity and after an exciting year, including the first full cycle of our newly imagined CDS Artist Community, we’re now looking for another couple of trustees to join us to support us on the next steps of our journey:

Co-chair of the Board – A vital role within the organisation and someone who will play a key part in shaping our future alongside their fellow co-chair, our staff team, artist committee and artist community.

Treasurer – We need someone who’ll help us keep an eye on the bottom line and support our artist-led vision with a keen financial eye.

We’re also open to meeting people who have the following skills:

  • Marketing / Audience Development
  • Advocacy / Change Making
  • Property and/or Charity Law

It’s an exciting time of change and possibility and we’re looking for new trustees who can join in this journey of exploration, lean into uncertainty, and help shape a new way of working together.

Interested? Here’s what to do:

➔ Read one our recent Trustee Recruitment Pack (please ignore the dates!) for all the information including full role descriptions and an overview of CDS.

➔   If you’d like, you can have an informal conversation with us! You can reach out to our Executive Director, Reece McMahon on reece@chisenhaledancespace.co.uk to chat in more detail about the organisation or to be connected with an existing trustee to hear about what it’s like to be on the board.

➔   To apply, email your CV and a 1-page letter of interest – with which role(s) you are interested in and why, to reece@chisenhaledancespace.co.uk. We welcome recorded voice and video files instead of a written letter if this is a  preferable way of applying.

➔   Shortlisted candidates will be invited to observe the next board meeting at Chisenhale Dance Space.

➔   We will hold formal interviews led by a staff member, existing trustee, and artist with eligible applicants, all online.
