We’re Hiring: Classes Coordinator
We are seeking an enthusiastic Classes Coordinator to work with us to support the delivery of our children’s classes.
The last few years at Chisenhale Dance Space have been marked by increased turnover and payments to artists, increased engagement in the local Bow community, new artist-led projects including Encounter Bow, the beginnings of the PhD on our archives and valuable new partnerships.
For CDS’ survival through the pandemic year, we are hugely thankful for life-saving investment from diverse local, national, regional funding bodies, trusts and individuals, which we believe signifies the value of CDS’ survival to our local and artistic communities, and as a part of London’s arts infrastructure.
As Classes Coordinator you will work closely with the Operations Manager & Producer: Participation in delivering CDS’s Children’s Classes programme efficiently and to the highest standard. In recent years CDS has focussed on continued change towards greater inclusivity, open-access participation, and a deeper and more relevant connection to our local Bow community. With funding received from Action for Bow, this role will support improving access and widening our local relationships with families, children, educational institutions and community providers to recruit and allocate free places and bursaries for classes.
CDS is now recruiting for a Classes Coordinator, in a three-month fixed-term part-time role:
Job Title: Classes Coordinator
Contract: Part time, 15 hours per week (Available to work on Saturday’s from 9am – 2pm)
Salary: £22,425 per annum, pro rata (London Living Wage/Full time equivalent)
Application deadline: Wednesday 15th December 2021, 5pm
This role will play a key part in supporting CDS’ children’s classes programme to run, making way for innovative practices that answer the needs of local communities and families.
We encourage applications from those who are under-represented in our organisation and marginalised in our sector, especially those from the global majority, including those of African diaspora heritage, South Asian, East Asian and South-East Asian heritage, mixed heritage, and those who have faced other socio-economic barriers, those who identify as LGBTQ+, and disabled people.
