Drawing from the principles of David Zambrano’s Flying Low and release technique we will be working with short and long phrases, group dynamics, the floor, the air and everything in between! This class is highly physical and focuses on rhythm & musicality, dynamics, spatial & group awareness. We will be developing material over the course of the 3 days and aim towards a stronger connection with the others, the space and the dance.
This event is in support of Chisenhale Dance Space’s Match Funding Campaign with all money collected donated to the space and its artist development programme.
Workshop Leader about herself:
A London based choreographer hailing from Greece, I am interested in the power of imagery, movement and non-verbal communication as a story telling device. With a background in fine art, music and dance I aim for the merging of all three disciplines into a kinaesthetic experience.I am dedicated to collaborating with a range of artists from the worlds of theatre, music and visual art and to the crossover between disciplines. Having trained as a dancer at the Athens State School of Dance and Trinity Laban Conservatoire (MA Choreography) I also hold a BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University.
