SOLD OUT – last few on the door

Sung a capella, The Sirens is a hilarious, buffonesque performance that flirts with fate, femininity and death.

The Sirens is a delightfully dynamic performance that dives into the Greek myth of Homer’s Odyssey.  It follows the trail of Persephone’s three maidens who are transformed into half-women, half-birds when she is abducted by Hades.  This is storytelling in quavers, triplets, and 7-time as sailors get seduced by the sound of these creatures from any direction.  No man can help himself.  Which is why, when Odysseus comes by with a trick up his sleeve to hear their beauty and not succumb to those cliffs, a new challenge ensues.

The Sirens is a beautifully written, comical work set within an evening of live music.  With cushions on the floor and a sunset in replace of a fire, the evening has a relaxed atmosphere and the audience is welcome to share songs of their own.
