Open Weekend at Chisenhale Dance Space
18th May 2019 | 4pm – 5pm
With Lewys Holt and Eleanor Sikorski
Lewys and Eleanor will guide participants through a workshop devoted to improvisation. They will provide structures through which to move, meet and perform for/with each other.
Eleanor and Lewys think that improvisation is political. It’s resistance to forming a repeatable product, yet it’s relentless ability to produce material seem to critique capitalist forms of production with a subtle irony. The group awareness and empathy required at the core of performing in an ensemble chime with a radical sense of social change that Lewys and Eleanor wish to share with you.
Come and improvise with us for an hour, it will also be really fun.
Part of Chisenhale Art Place Open Weekend 2019. Chisenhale Dance Space, Chisenhale Gallery and Chisenhale Studios will open the doors of our shared building for a weekend of open studios, tours, exhibitions, performance and events. Full Programme.
