About Past Works Recycling Plant:

Past Works Recycling Plant is a night of ‘recycled’ performance, curated by artist duo Emergency Chorus. Expect reworked and remixed material, whirlwind retrospectives, undocumented gems, discarded ideas, or the very first work an artist made 10, 20, 30 years ago.

The night is a celebration of the ways that artists change and remain constant; how artists’ work is always composted and fed back to itself. It’s an invitation to time-travel, to make room for the unseen, the almost-forgotten, the scribblings-in-the-margins, the what-was-was-there-all-along. We say: out with the new, and in with the old!

About the Performances:

charisma // Jane Frances Dunlop

This will be a performance that considers my considerations of charisma. I have many times, for many years, practised being charismatic.

nomanclature // Eliza Jean Scott

Live looping + movement + text: a surreal, glitch metamorphosis of identity and belief systems- giving voice to the intangible.

moaning; end attached. // m.o.a.n

in fast motion through the air,
tingly high-pitched whisper
from my face to my back;
end attached:
I’m moaning.

a million miles above the surface // Renée Bellamy

A movement exploration into spectatorship, and the layers of separation between seeing and sensing experience.
