A contemporary dance solo related to the author's change of a living place and adaptation to the new surroundings.

An intimate journey through inner and outer worlds deriving from a certain dynamic and quality of movement, which open something like a magical portal or a way into a performance. The solo is auto ethnographic in nature and includes real life soundscapes and imagery, significant to the period of the author’s transition into the new environment.

The beginnings of this project draw from the perch adaptation project delivered by experienced dance practitioners Katye Coe and Amy Voris as a part of the MA programme in Contemporary Dance at the London Contemporary Dance School. The perch adaptation project was open for adaptation to different places and mediums and offered introduction into methodologies and tools for making movement material leading to a solo piece. The process brought intriguing new experiences to the author prompting her to dive into further explorations resulting in an autoethnographic multimedia solo Travelogue.
