Immerse yourself in an embodied exploration of the sensory.
This is a movement session for anyone who wishes to investigate dance as an act of self and collective care.
Whether you want to explore a private dance for one in the corner of the space, have a nap, immerse yourself in deep introspective relaxation or want to explore full-bodied dancing as an act of togetherness you are welcome here. No previous experience necessary – just the eagerness to lean in and let loose.
A curated playlist will guide you step by step, as well as instruction based visualisations exploring a variety of textures, temperatures and colours.
This workshop is about empowerment and cultivating acts of self and collective care. It is not about technique or artistic background. No previous experience in art, movement, performance or theatre is necessary. Please come as you are.
For those who would like to receive a home ‘self-care kit’ at the end of the session please provide an email address and you will be sent a self care email to your mailbox, including a link to the playlist so that you may revisit it in the comfort of your own home.
The lounge is also available for anyone to relax and socialise.
Accessibility
This session is pregnancy and neurodivergent friendly. No flashing lights will be used throughout the session. If you are working with injuries you are most welcome.
Please note, we are on the second floor, accessed by a staircase only. Regrettably the studios are not wheelchair accessible. Anyone who has specific access needs is welcome to email these to: frances@chisenhaledancespace.co.uk beforehand.
