Arts Council England run a funding programme called Developing your Creative Practice (DYCP) which is specifically to provide funding to support individuals who are cultural and creative practitioners and want to take time to focus on their creative development.
DYCP is a competitive funding programme with only approximately 20% of applicants receiving funding in each round. Applications for Round 19 open on 16 November and close on 14 December. So ahead of that, you might be thinking about applying… or you might not even be sure if it’s the right time to apply, or if its worth it.
In this deep dive, we’ll go through the application process and talk through top tips for crafting an application, taking plenty of time to reflect about your practice along the way. Even if you don’t end up submitting an application, the session and the framework of DYCP will be a useful opportunity to reflect on where you are in your practice right now, where you want to be and hopefully reveal a path to get there.
