Join CDS Artist Community members Nya Bardouille & Mary Price-O'Connor for a sharing of their Greenhouse projects.

Join us for the first of four evenings as part of our WTF: Greenhouse Takeover series! This is a chance to get an early insight into 8 artists processes
‘Greenhouse’ is a 6 month long funded, bespoke development programme for eight Activators from our Artist Community who are Global Majority, and/or Disabled / Neurodivergent. It is primarily for artists who have the beginnings of an idea, project, production, or concept but need the creative support, skills development and time to help kickstart it.
Artists in the cohort have come together to co-host an evening each where they share a glimpse into their practice and projects, using the evening as a step on the journey rather than as a destination. Crucially, the evening is not about sharing finished work – it is about opening up the process and inviting others in to observe, experience and contribute. They might choose to share via a workshop, performance or discussion – no two evenings will be the same and every evening will have two artists / projects! The first evening brings together artists Nya Bardouille & Mary Price-O’Connor to share where they are at, and where they might be heading with their projects – both will be leading interactive workshop sessions.
As with all WTF Thursday evenings, these events are FREE – but booking is essential!
The eight Greenhouse artists are: Valerie Ebuwa, Mary Price-O’Connor, Nya Bardouille, Zoe Tankard Bowkett, Lene Vollhardt, Ashley Lim, Sheyamali Sudesh, and Elizabeth Chan.

BODYWORK(SHOP)
An exploration of choosing desire and playing with care-giving behaviours through touch and movement.
Can we mirror the myriad of choices we make through movement, to get to know what our desire is? Is it possible for mind, body and movement to experience synergy when we make decision based on desire?
Join me in finding ease, alone and together.
workshop contents:
ascending upwards – reawaken yourself from slumber to ground your body in comfort before we begin.
anchoring of care giving behaviours with touch – using touch as a vessel for choice, you can choose how to express care for yourself and/or others through movement.
exploring giving, receiving and taking – taking time to investigate the intricate dynamics of of these behaviours, tapping into your intuition to guide your desire-based decision making.
PLAY – time to be silly, spontaneous and liberal as we share what has been explored in the workshop together, without the pressure of judgement or outcome.

The Kitchen Dancing Project
“ Do you ever dance to music at home (or elsewhere) when no-one is watching ? “
I love……a dance danced away from a dance space , from a performance space, this interests me. I have a light solo venture called “The Kitchen Dancing Project “ that has come into my research masters at Rambert.
We will start the session with a grounding and permissions. I shall create a playlist from any music you would put on in your home to dance. We will dance to your kitchen dance track and then we will reflect on what it is that moves you to dance to that track…
