Cultivating Connection – Events for Marginalised Artists
We’re excited to be launching a new programme Cultivating Connection in partnership with Poplar Union.
Cultivating Connection is a relaxed series of monthly events creating opportunities for marginalised communities in the arts to connect through creative experiences and conversation.

We recognise that there aren’t enough low-cost, supportive spaces for marginalised artists to meet each other and nourish their practices. This event series seeks to create a regular opportunity to gather and think about artists’ collective and individual needs.
At each event a different artist or arts worker offers an insight into their practice with a low-key workshop – whether through movement, poetry, or discussion. There will also be open time for socialising, with free food and a donation bar.
These events are open to anyone who considers themselves an artist, performer, or maker – whether professional, aspiring or hobbyist. We have a two types of event:
Cultivating Connection – Events for Black, Brown and Global Majority artists
Cultivating Connection – Events for Disabled and Neurodivergent artists
Events are specifcally held for these marginalised communities, and staffed by people with those lived experiences.
The first two events are now on sale (check out our Whats On Page!)
