1. Call Out for Participants!

We are looking for 25 people of all ages from our local area (The Fantastic Tower Hamlets!) to work with us on a dance project for 6 weeks. We have a festival in late March and one of the main events will be a piece created by our local residents in collaboration with a Chisenhale artist. You don’t need to have danced before; we are seeking adults of all ages and abilities who are keen to learn and have some fun. Its a great chance to get fit and meet your neighbours so why not sign up!

You need to be available Friday nights from 6.30 – 8.30 from the 12th February to the 26th March (showtime!).

Just call us on 020 8981 6617 if you are interested.

2. The TV Dinners Festival

TV Dinners is a series of events from the 24th-27th March exploring dance-film in its many different incarnations. There will be things available for children, families and artists alike. Each event is accompanied by some tasty local food... From East End Pie & Mash to a good old Brick Lane Curry!

The festival will include:

  • An Archive Evening where influential works from throughout the Space’s 26-year history will be shown.
  • A commissioned project that sees members of the local community developing a piece of work with a Chisenhale choreographer.
  • New work from emerging dance film-makers.
  • A dance-a-long to your favourite musical family day.
  • A Make Your Own Music Video Night.
  • A Double Feature Cinema Pyjama Party.
  • ...and even a Dress Swap event for the thrifty!
