CLASS LAB: A New Class Development Initiative
We are so excited to launch a new class development initiative at CDS: CLASS LAB. Running classes and workshops as an independent artist can be challenging, with many obstacles such as finding space, pricing tickets, and recruiting participants. CLASS LAB aims to support artists in overcoming these challenges and help them build a more regular and financially sustainable teaching practice.
What is Class Lab?
Class Lab is an initiative by Chisenhale Dance Space (CDS) designed to give artists the boost they need to kickstart their classes or workshops. Through subsidised space hire, mentoring, and marketing support, Class Lab offers a unique opportunity for artists to develop and grow their teaching practices.
For four weeks, artists will have access to the Performance Studio on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 – 21:00 to run a class, series, or multi-part workshop. Each artist in Class Lab will receive marketing support from CDS and mentoring from our experienced staff to ensure their success.
Tickets for each class cost £8, and you can book on our website.
