Whether you’re just starting out or already love to dance, this class invites you to move with curiosity, connect with others, and discover your unique movement voice.
All levels welcome, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move!
Contemporary Explorations is possible through the generous support of the Choreographer’s Gallery Trust.
Cat Jones (she/her)
Cat is a Dance Artist who loves nothing more than moving and making with others. Specialising in Release-based Contemporary Dance, her classes are a joyful mix of technique, improvisation, floorwork and creative exploration. She’s an advocate for dancers finding confidence, sensitivity, and their own artistic voice, whether they’re gliding across the floor or bouncing off an idea.
She holds a First Class Honours BA in Dance Practice, is a qualified Forest School Practitioner and is currently studying for her MA in Creative Practice: Dance Professional at Trinity Laban. Cat has worked with brilliant organisations like Siobhan Davies Studios, Chiskids Dance, A Truefitt Collective and Demonstrate! with Corali Dance Company, where she has supported movers of all ages and abilities to explore, express, and take creative risks.
In every session, Cat brings her love of connection, curiosity, and a sense of play, creating spaces where imagination and movement entangle in a dance of unexpected discoveries.
Kajsa Sundtsröm (she/her)
Kajsa is a Swedish contemporary dance artist and teacher based in London. She is a certified yoga teacher and has an extensive teaching practice, working across contemporary and modern forms, as well as improvisation and floorwork. Her teaching practice is rooted in inclusivity and accessibility, so that all her students can experience the joy of dancing and moving. She believes dancing is at its heart a community practice, and though she often finds herself improvising in a studio by herself, dancing, performing and learning with others is her very favourite thing to do.
Upon starting her journey as a dancer in her teens, she has trained and performed across Scandinavia, the U.K and the U.S. She has worked with companies such as Stopgap Dance, Second Hand Dance, English National Ballet, Limón Dance Company and Reality Dansteater. She trained at Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance, and received her classical ballet training from Dilek Taptik School of Dance (RAD).
